UGC NET Exam Schedule For National Eligibility Test
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the exam schedule for the National Eligibility Test (NET). The NET is a national level test that is required for admission to PhD programs in India. The exam will be held in February and March of 2024.

Registration Closes: November 29, 2023
Correction Window: December 1 to 3, 2023
Exam Dates: February 20 to 29, 2024 and March 1 to 9, 2024
Result Declaration: April 2024
Eligibility
Candidates must have a Master's degree from a recognized university with an average of at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
Candidates who have appeared in their final year Master's exams are also eligible to apply
Application Process
Candidates can apply online through the UGC NET official website
The application fee is ₹300 for General and OBC candidates and ₹150 for SC/ST candidates
Payment of application fee can be made online through credit/debit card or net banking
Exam Pattern
The NET is a computer-based test (CBT)
The exam consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II
Paper I is a general paper that tests the candidate's aptitude for research
Paper II is a subject-specific paper that tests the candidate's knowledge of the chosen subject
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the NET
