Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Amrit Mahotsav and Launches MY Bharat: A Vision for Youth Empowerment
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to headline a significant event on October 31, 2023, marking the conclusion of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign's Amrit Kalash Yatra. The event, to be held at Kartavya Path, will see the participation of thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris from all corners of the country. A prominent highlight of this gathering will be the inauguration of the Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial by the Prime Minister. This memorial, developed from soil collected from every region of India, stands as a tribute to the collective spirit of the nation. The ceremony is also poised to serve as the closing ceremony of the grand Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration that commenced on March 12, 2021, commemorating 75 years of India's independence. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will use this platform to introduce the 'Mera Yuva Bharat' (MY Bharat) initiative, aimed at serving as an inclusive, comprehensive government platform designed specifically for the youth. This endeavor is in line with Modi's vision to provide equal opportunities for every young individual in the country. MY Bharat will harness the power of technology to offer a supportive mechanism across the spectrum of government services, empowering the youth to pursue their dreams and actively contribute to the development of a progressive India. It aspires to motivate the youth to become change-makers within their communities and the nation as a whole, acting as a crucial bridge between the government and its citizens. MY Bharat aims to catalyze 'Youth Led Development' in the country, furthering the Prime Minister's vision for a vibrant, empowered youth leading the country towards progress. The Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign, as part of which the Amrit Kalash Yatra takes place, is a heartfelt tribute to the valorous individuals who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The campaign involved various activities, ceremonies, and grassroots initiatives conducted at different levels across the country, including the building of memorials, pledging ceremonies, planting indigenous saplings, and honoring freedom fighters and their families. The success of the campaign was evident through the incredible numbers it achieved: over 2.3 lakh memorials built in 36 States/UTs, nearly 4 crore pledge selfies uploaded, 2 lakh 'Veeron ka Vandan' programs nationwide, more than 2.36 crore indigenous saplings planted, and 2.63 lakh Amrit Vatikas created nationwide. The Amrit Kalash Yatra was a particularly significant part of the campaign, symbolizing unity and oneness by collecting soil and rice grains from over 6 lakh villages and wards, converging to create a singular 'Amrit Kalash.' This gesture embodies the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.' As the event unfolds, Prime Minister Modi's speech is anticipated to resonate with inspiration, highlighting the achievements and the collective efforts symbolized by the Amrit Mahotsav and the MY Bharat initiative. This event promises to be a significant milestone in India's journey towards nurturing the potential and aspirations of its vibrant youth.
